Due to changing sector dynamics and previous national expansion plans being impacted by the onset of the pandemic, Infinite Energy has decided to cease selling solar rooftop and battery systems for residential and commercial rooftops.
Infinite Energy Chief Executive Officer Andrew Sutherland said it had been a very difficult decision to cease selling rooftop solar and battery systems given Infinite Energy’s excellent staff, suppliers, and customers that have been involved with the business for its many years of operation.
“While the WA solar market continues to add rooftop solar capacity, establishing a sustainable business model that can support a quality product offering in a highly saturated, low margin and low barrier-to-entry solar market has proved a challenge,” Mr Sutherland said.
What does this decision mean for you?
We are aware that this decision will come as a shock to many of our customers, and so want to assure them that Infinite Energy will continue to honour its obligations by completing outstanding installation contracts and providing associated support services.
All current customers and those who have installation scheduled will be contacted in the coming days to discuss their options. Please read on for addition information which may be relevant for you.
I would still be interested in a system; can you provide me something?
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide new quotes and/or sales of solar or battery systems.
I’ve signed a contract and have a planned installation date; will you still be able to provide my system?
Customers will still receive the same products and service quality that they signed up for. To enable this, we have maintained our project delivery, service, warehouse and support teams.
My system hasn’t been installed yet, am I able to cancel my contract and installation?

What about support for my system into the future and warranty claims?
All Infinite Energy customers have the benefit of both product and workmanship warranties in relation to their systems, and Infinite Energy remains committed to ongoing customer support into the future. Does this decision affect Infinite Energy’s Retail Electricity and PPA services?
The Infinite Energy portfolio includes companies providing electricity retail and solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) services, which will continue to operate while the future plans for the business are reviewed.
