Media Release
AIKO, a global leader in solar technology, celebrates its 15th anniversary at All Energy Australia 2024. Over fifteen years, AIKO has advanced the photovoltaic (PV) industry, moving from P-type to N-type technology. With over 1,000 patents, AIKO’s tubular double-sided PERC technology and 210mm cells have become standard in leading solar modules. AIKO’s ABC module consistently leads with a production efficiency of 24.2%, topping TaiyangNews’ global efficiency rankings for 20 months.
Introducing the NEOSTAR 475W Panel
At All Energy 2024, AIKO launched the NEOSTAR 475W, surpassing its previous record of 470W. This high-efficiency panel, covering less than 2m² of roof space, maximises energy output. It enables more power generation in a compact area, reducing balance of system (BOS) and labour costs for a greater return on investment.
Preview of the INFINITE Series with World-Class Efficiency
AIKO also previewed its INFINITE series, achieving world-record efficiencies of over 25%. This series features AIKO’s unique 0BB technology, overlap welding, and hidden busbar design. These innovative solutions attracted significant attention for their performance and sleek design.
Thomas Bywater, Country Director of AIKO ANZ, stated, “As we celebrate our 15-year journey in solar innovation, our focus remains steadfast on providing cutting-edge solutions that not only meet the demands of today’s market but also anticipate the needs of tomorrow. The NEOSTAR 475W and Infinite Modules are prime examples of our commitment to enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability for Australian consumers.”
Extreme Performance and Durability Testing
Since its debut at the Smart Energy Expo, AIKO’s Partial Shading Test has been a popular exhibit. AIKO’s N-type ABC modules outperform TOPCon technology under common Australian shading conditions, proving ideal for challenging environments. AIKO also introduced an Impact Resistance Comparison, testing durability between ABC Modules and TOPCon cells. In the test, a 2kg weight dropped at 1.1m/s caused minor damage to AIKO’s ABC module, whereas TOPCon cells suffered severe damage. This resilience, due to a silver-free metallisation and robust copper grid wire, reinforced AIKO’s reputation for durability.
VIP Lunch with Omnidian: Adding Value to Solar Standards
AIKO co-hosted an exclusive VIP lunch with Omnidian, a leader in post-installation service, at All Energy 2024. Held on 24 October, this event gathered OEMs, commercial and industrial businesses, and industry experts. Attendees learned about AIKO’s advanced technologies and Omnidian’s proactive system monitoring, which differentiates solar retailers and OEMs in a competitive market. This collaboration highlights AIKO’s focus on value-driven innovation over price competition, promoting product performance, efficiency, and service.
The VIP lunch underscored AIKO’s impact in Australia, reinforcing its leadership in innovation and customer engagement, and setting new solar technology standards.
