Media Release

GoodWe BIPV, a subsidiary of globally recognised PV manufacturer GoodWe, has recently launched the commercial-grade Strix Series Modular Light Steel Solar Carport with Polaris BIPV panels, designed to be highly efficient, resilient and scalable for rapid deployment.

“This commercial-grade carport system reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and structure intelligence.”

Said Apollo Chai, Senior International Business Development Director, GoodWe BIPV.

“We have developed a system that meets severe compliance demands yet offers value into the long term through simplicity of installation, modular scalability, and integrated water management.”

Designed for compliance and installation simplicity

The Strix Series employs GoodWe’s Polaris panel technology and utilises a light steel modular frame system, or carport, which has under-panel fixings for clean electrical connections between panels, overlapping waterproof panels to prevent ingress and a drainage system that can be suited to multiple commercial site conditions. Notably, the installation requires no onsite welding or cutting, minimising both user complexity and labour costs. The Strix does not require any footing on the existing commercial concrete ground, requiring only bolt-in installation to substantially minimise the time and overall costs associated with installation.

Each carport unit accommodates two car spaces and can be extended in linear progression in accordance with small to large commercial works. There is a range of system sizes from 16.05 kW to 48.15 kW from a single 4 to single 12 configuration, for a 2-car unit from 32.1 kW for a 4×2 figuration to 96.3 kW for a 12×2 car system, and structural spans that range from 11,496 mm to 34,436 mm, depending upon the configuration.

Long-lasting performance backed by smart technology

The system meets all local requirements across Australia, including, but not limited to AS/NZS1170 and AS4100 and has certified performance in wind load regions A, B and C. All components are designed to be container-optimised, which will save money in logistics and export.

The structure has a long design service life of up to 25 years, is made of durable light steel, with corrosion resistance and high strength-to-weight characteristics produces a system that is ideal for fast design iteration and quoting through the Umax Order Link Partner Platform allowing partners to configure systems in accordance with site constraints, automatically calculate panel output, and see current shipping and order as the dashboard is live.

“With our launch of the Strix Series and UMAX platform, we are equipping EPCs and distributors with a complete tech-driven ecosystem for solar carport solutions.”

Chai concluded.
