Kora has unveiled a home energy system that integrates a smart panel, batteries, inverter, app and virtual power plant platform. The company has funding from Moneta Ventures and Growth Factory Ventures and plans to begin customer shipments in Q1 2026.
In addition to providing circuit-level control with the smart panel, the Kora system will allow homeowners to sell power through wholesale markets through the company’s VPP Kora Energy Trading. The Kora app ties the entire stack, panel, inverter and batteries into one system that automatically shifts loads to cheaper power, stores energy when rates are low, and prioritizes solar first.
“Before founding Kora, I tried several of the leading home energy systems. The user experience was poor, the equipment was expensive, and the functionality was limited,” said Greg Connoly, Founder and CEO of Kora. “We built Kora to bring the industry into the AI age with one system that gives homeowners real control, reliable backup, and lower bills automatically from day one.”
The storage system can be scaled up to 111.2 kWh and supports 91.2 kW of power. The storage system carries a 12.5-year warranty across major components.
