Review of a 57.32kWh Residential Solar Storage Installation

For residential or small commercial properties with higher energy needs, larger battery storage capacity is required. A recent customer installation provides a practical example of how this can be achieved. The system is composed of four Menred LFP.1433.F solar batteries, which are connected in parallel. This configuration provides a total energy capacity of 57.32kWh, designed to store excess solar power.

The battery bank is integrated with a DEYE inverter, which manages the flow of energy between the solar panels, the batteries, and the property’s electrical circuits. The LFP.1433.F model uses Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry and is specified to last for over 6000 cycles.

For ease of use, the battery includes a 2.8-inch touchscreen that helps simplify the setup process by allowing the user to select the communication protocol for the connected inverter. The built-in WiFi enables remote data monitoring via a mobile application. This system is also designed for future expansion, as up to 16 units can be connected in parallel to reach a maximum capacity of over 229kWh if energy requirements increase over time.
