AIKO, a leader in solar technology, has reached a significant milestone. The Neostar 2P 470W solar panel has received approval from the Clean Energy Council (CEC). This approval marks AIKO’s Neostar 470W as the first high-power solar panel available in Australia in a standard residential size.
Compact power: Neostar 470W delivers big results in small form
The Neostar 470W panel, with its black frame and white backsheet, delivers an impressive 23.6% efficiency. Despite its compact size of just 1757 x 1134mm, it packs high power without increasing the panel’s footprint. This allows homeowners and businesses to maximise solar potential without needing extra space. Unlike other panels, which offer 430W or 440W, the Neostar 2P provides more power, making it ideal for Australian rooftops.
AIKO’s advanced N-type ABC technology, featuring a back-contact design, enables the Neostar 470W to outperform many competitors. This innovation sets a new industry standard, allowing Australians to optimise rooftop space while enjoying significant energy savings.
AIKO’s legacy of solar innovation
In February 2024, AIKO achieved another landmark when TÜV SÜD confirmed that its large-format panels had reached 25.15% module efficiency. This made them the first crystalline modules to exceed the 25% mark. The 470W Neostar panel continues AIKO’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge, reliable solar solutions worldwide.
Mr Alex Hang, Head of AIKO APAC, shared his thoughts on the launch:
“As a leader in solar technology, AIKO is setting new benchmarks in the industry. Our innovations help customers with limited roof space embrace solar, empowering more people to contribute to a carbon-free future.”
Reliability and performance in every panel
AIKO’s N-type ABC modules come with industry-leading shade optimisation technology. They have also passed TÜV Rheinland’s VKF hail testing, proving their durability. These features make the panels attractive to insurance companies and installers, ensuring reliability in Australia’s varied climate.
Mr Thomas Bywater, Country Director for AIKO Australia & New Zealand, commented on the practical advantages of the panel:
“At AIKO, we’re focused on technology that simplifies life for our installers. Neostar 470W panels help them complete jobs faster and with less effort, allowing more time to spend with their families.”
AIKO brings high power and efficiency to Australian roofs
The newly CEC-approved Neostar 470W panel offers a powerful solution for Australian rooftops. It provides higher energy output in less space, allowing more homeowners to switch to solar. As Australia embraces renewable energy, AIKO is leading the way by making solar adoption easier than ever.
AIKO remains committed to empowering the transformation towards a carbon-free future.
