To better support customers and ensure optimal performance of renewable energy systems, SMA America has announced a change to its out-of-warranty claims process. Effective immediately, RISE Renewable Energy will manage all out-of-warranty claims for Sunny Central 125U, Sunny Central 250U, Sunny Central 500U, Sunny Central 500HE-US, Sunny Central CP and Sunny Central 1850-3000 inverters. This transition provides customers with access to a dedicated team for prompt assistance, technical support and streamlined repairs to maintain system efficiency.

RISE Renewable Energy, headquartered in California, has specialized in developing, training and supporting photovoltaic professionals and their customers. The company combines practical application with theoretical expertise to deliver exceptional service in handling and managing customer claims.

“Partnering with RISE Renewable Energy streamlines the out-of-warranty claims process for our customers,” said Jonathan Cueva, senior manager of large-scale solutions at SMA America. “SMA is committed to delivering a seamless customer experience from project development to ongoing support, and RISE’s technical team ensures this service continues beyond the sale.”

With RISE now managing out-of-warranty claims, the submission process has been streamlined, providing customers with multiple flexible options for submitting case details.

How to submit a ticket

When submitting a ticket, it is important to include the following information in the description field or body of the email, as applicable:

  • Inverter model and fault codes/nature of failure
  • Point of contact name/phone/email
  • Site name/Inverter designation
  • Description of the issue
  • Any additional supporting documentation
  • Any applicable fault data (up to 20mb) as an attachment. For larger attachments, separate arrangements can be made.

As an alternative option, you can also call RISE at +1 (213) 267-7473. If no one is available at the time of the call, a ticket will automatically be generated automatically and a return call will be requested.
