Fronius USA has announced that the California Energy Commission (CEC) added the Fronius GEN24 inverter to its Energy Storage System (ESS) listing when paired with the BYD-HVM battery solution.
“With the CEC ESS official listing, the Fronius GEN24 has been recognized as an approved top choice for energy storage in California, delivering exceptional quality, efficiency and reliability for the state’s evolving energy market,” said Richard Baldinger, Director of Sales & Marketing Business Unit Solar Energy at Fronius USA.
The CEC approved listing covers the Fronius GEN24 and GEN24 Plus models (3.8kW, 5.0kW, 6.0kW, 7.7kW, and 10.0kW), which are now approved for use with BYD’s energy storage capacities (11.0kWh, 13.8kWh, 16.6kWh, and 19.3kWh). The Fronius GEN24 and BYD HVM system can now be installed together in California, as well as in other utility markets that have adopted the CEC listing outside of the state of California.
