Episode 3 of Energy Matters shone a spotlight on the power of purpose-driven careers, featuring Careers for Purpose. Hosted by James Treble, the segment explored how this innovative recruitment agency is helping businesses in renewable energy and sustainability find the right talent to make a real impact. With insights from industry professionals and business leaders, the episode highlighted the growing demand for meaningful work and the role Careers for Purpose plays in connecting passionate people with purpose-led organisations.

About the episode

During the episode, James Treble visited the Sydney office of Careers for Purpose to speak with co-founder Teresa Romanovsky and recruitment expert Travis McMurray. Teresa shared how her journey started after being made redundant during the COVID-19 pandemic. With years of experience in recruitment, she saw an opportunity to create a business that focused on connecting people with careers that align with their values.

The segment also featured Steve Badgery from Open Solar, who discussed how he initially worked with Careers for Purpose as a job seeker and now relies on them to find specialist talent for his business. Julian Bott from Cundall shared his experience of using the agency to recruit employees who care deeply about sustainability and want to make a difference in their work. As Teresa explained, recruitment might not change the world on its own, but the right people in the right roles certainly can.
