Green Rack Solar, a residential solar contractor serving Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio, and a Civic Renewables company, has been accepted into the Amicus Solar Cooperative. Amicus is a 100% member-owned cooperative of more than 80 local community-focused solar businesses.

Among other services and group tenets, Amicus uses group purchasing to level the economic playing field for its member companies to better compete with larger solar companies.
Green Rack Solar is part of Civic Renewables, a national platform launched in 2024 to empower local solar businesses with the tools, scale and resources to grow their businesses. Backed by GEF Capital Partners, Civic brings together local companies — like Green Rack — that prioritize customer trust, energy savings and lasting community impact.
