OMCO Solar, a factory-direct manufacturer of solar trackers and fixed-tilt racking, is launching the OMCO Star Tracker Control System, available now nationwide.

“The launch of the OMCO Star Tracker Control System is the culmination of years of collaboration by our engineering and in-house software teams, alongside valuable feedback from customers, installers and partners. We are proud of the results: A solution that redefines how single-axis trackers perform in the field,” says Lepolve Varpilah, director of electrical and software engineering at OMCO.

Engineered to work seamlessly with OMCO Origin Factory-Direct Trackers, OMCO Star uses long range wireless technology — which has a communication range of more than one mile — resulting in far fewer network controllers necessary for these types of projects. OMCO Star uses a field-replaceable battery, is weather-tested to withstand wind, hail, snow and flooding and doesn’t require AC cabling or trenching.

“Through its factory-direct model, OMCO Solar delivers the industry’s shortest lead times, on-time shipments every time, complete domestic content, and direct access to engineering, manufacturing and support teams,” said Gary Schuster, president & CEO of OMCO. “The addition of the OMCO Star Tracker Control System demonstrates OMCO Solar’s dedication to continuous innovation and product development that meets the evolving needs of the solar industry.”

OMCO Star is built in one of OMCO’s five U.S. manufacturing facilities.
