AIKO has officially brought its Infinite Series ABC (All Back Contact) solar panels to Australian rooftops, debuting the world’s most efficient panels at the Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition Queensland. For Australian homeowners and businesses hungry for higher efficiency, durability, and aesthetics, this new release is a game-changer.

More power from the same space

Compared to the Gen 2 range, the new Infinite Gen 3 panels deliver up to 20 W more power in the popular 54-cell residential format. Against mainstream TOPCon technology, AIKO’s ABC Gen 3 widens the lead by as much as 40 W in the same footprint. Over a system’s lifetime, that advantage translates to as much as 15% more total energy yield. For Australians with limited roof space but growing energy needs, that is a major win.

This improvement comes down to AIKO’s refined All Back Contact design. By removing visible front-side busbars and incorporating a ZeroGap cell layout with InvisiRibbon technology, the Gen 3 increases the light-receiving area by 4.8%. The result? A panel that pushes performance limits while offering a sleek, deep-black finish that looks good on any roof.

Materials innovation for better performance and durability

One of the standout changes in Gen 3 is the move from silver paste to copper interconnections. Copper offers lower electrical resistance, improving energy transfer and efficiency, particularly under Australia’s high solar irradiance. It also avoids the high-temperature firing process used with silver, which can damage wafers and weaken solar cells.

AIKO’s proprietary copper interconnection delivers stronger solder joints, with tensile strengths over 5 N, providing greater resistance to micro-cracks, hail impact, and other mechanical stresses. These improvements directly address some of the most common causes of long-term power loss in solar panels.

By eliminating silver, AIKO also improves supply chain stability, reduces manufacturing emissions, and supports a more sustainable production process. It is a win for both performance and the planet.

Engineered for tough Australian conditions

AIKO designed the Infinite Gen 3 to thrive in the real world, not just in laboratory testing. Its 3.2 mm tempered anti-reflective glass provides added protection against hail, thermal cycling, and mechanical stress. When paired with copper interconnections, this gives the panels the strength needed to withstand harsh environments, including cyclone-prone regions and floating solar installations.

Partial shading remains one of the biggest performance challenges in solar installations, but AIKO’s shading optimisation technology helps solve this. Independent certification by TÜV Nord confirms that Gen 3 modules can deliver up to 30% more power under partial shading compared to standard TOPCon modules. AIKO is also the only manufacturer to achieve TÜV Rheinland Class A certification for shading performance.

Australia’s heat is another test, and Gen 3 panels are built to cope. With an ultra-low temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, the panels keep generating strong output even in extreme summer heat. High-temperature restriction technology reduces heat build-up by 30% in soiled conditions, helping maintain stable and safe generation year-round.

First access for Australian customers

The Infinite Series has already made a splash in Europe, surpassing 1 GW in new orders within just two months of its global release. Now, Australian customers will be among the first outside Europe to access the upgraded technology.

World’s Best Solar Technology Now Accessible for Every Australia’s Rooftops

The CEC-approved range available in Australia includes:

  • NEOSTAR 3P54 – Black Frame Mono-Glass, 485 W
  • NEOSTAR 3S54 – All Black Mono-Glass, 475 W
  • NEOSTAR 3S+54 – All Black Dual-Glass, 475 W

Following the Smart Energy Queensland launch, AIKO will continue its national rollout with roadshows and channel activations, aiming to make these panels accessible to every home and business.

Customers keen to secure their systems early can order through AIKO’s official distribution partners: Solar Juice, AC Solar Warehouse, Tradezone, Sol Distribution, Lawrence & Hanson, and sub-distributors. Orders can also be placed directly via AIKO’s official form.

Setting the benchmark for 2025

AIKO’s Infinite Series ABC Gen 3 is not just another panel release. With major advancements in power output, durability, shading tolerance, and sustainability, it positions itself as one of the best solar options for Australian projects in 2025.

Whether it is a compact suburban rooftop, a large-scale commercial installation, or a farm looking to cut energy costs, these panels deliver unmatched performance and long-term value. For Australians serious about future-proofing their energy systems, AIKO’s Gen 3 offers a compelling solution that blends innovation with reliability.
