Media Release – GoodWe PVBM

Our GoodWe VELA Residential Solar Carport has already seen significant growth in installations since our launch across Australasia. It is not just a carport, but rather a driveway powered renewable energy hub that can be integrated with your inverters and batteries as an all-in-one solar system.

Under the federal Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES), our VELA Residential Solar Carport is eligible for obtaining Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), which allows households to receive significant savings on their systems.

STCs are produced under the SRES on the expected electricity output of your system for a fixed amount of time. These certificates can be converted into a rebate at the time of installation, typically appearing as an instant discount with your installer. Given that the VELA Residential Solar Carport uses approved components, which are less than 100 kW, and is being installed by certified installers, all the criteria for STC eligibility will be satisfied for our VELA Residential Solar Carport.

Furthermore, our VELA Residential Solar Carport also works with GoodWe battery storage systems, allowing it to be an all-in-one solar and battery solution eligible for both STC and federal battery rebates. If a homeowner’s goal is to future-proof their property and reduce energy costs, this combined approach to incentives provides a timely ROI.

Smart design built for Australian homes

The GoodWe VELA Solar Carport includes:

  • Structural waterproofing: The CEC-listed Polaris 535W Bi-facial TOPCon solar panels incorporate a built-in waterproofing design on the framing, and do not require glue.
  • Height adjustable: Multiple pole heights available to choose from means it can be suitable for a wider range of residential situations.
  • Quick installation: Does not require heavy equipment and can be installed within 6 hours.
  • All-in-one package: The panels, frame and fasteners are contained in one crate for easy installation.
  • Gamcorp-certified: Engineered for Australian conditions with a 15-year structural warranty

Whether your roof is too small, worn out or just not appropriate for solar, the GoodWe VELA Residential Solar Carport takes your driveway, backyard or even paddock and turns it into a productive, clean energy site. We’ve seen VELA help homeowners across from Gold Coast’s countryside, Sydney‘s residential area and Melbourne horse ports in charging their EVs, powering their homes and adding value to their properties without touching the roof.

With STC incentives reducing each year, the early adopters have the most to gain. Systems installed today could earn STC points depending upon your location, system size and year of install, which could turn into thousands of instant savings.

From shading to savings, our GoodWe VELA Series demonstrates the intelligent join of design with additional solar power. As the electrification and sustainability efforts in the Australian government continue, VELA is ready to step up to provide the sheltering, EV-charging and savings benefits in one solar solution.
