Episode 6 of Energy Matters transported us to Sydney’s Olympic Park, where we explored the BLUETTI booth at Everything Electric NSW. We met Tiger Han and Aydit Subat on the showroom floor to find out how Aussies are powering up their homes and outdoor spaces. We also look at BLUETTI’s mission to transform the lives of millions with their LAAF (Lighting An African Family) program.

From festivals to off-grid freedom: BLUETTI’s power-packed presence at Everything Electric

Everything Electric NSW was buzzing, and not just from the crowds. BLUETTI’s stand was one of the most electrifying at the event. CEO Tiger Han and Business Development Manager Aydit Subat were on hand to walk us through BLUETTI’s impressive line-up and global mission.

Founded in 2009, BLUETTI now operates in over 100 countries, with 3.5 million customers and a team of 2,000 passionate staff across the globe. The company’s bold vision? To bring energy storage into every household, delivering energy freedom and security, while cutting reliance on dirty diesel generators.

Aydit explained that BLUETTI’s range of portable batteries has become the go-to replacement for generators, especially for tradies, campers, and home users. With solar charging compatibility, these batteries offer true off-grid green energy — no noise, no fumes, and no guilt.

As Tiger put it, Aussies are getting creative with how they use these batteries. From powering tools on building sites and keeping the tunes going at music festivals, to gardeners using them to start work at dawn without waking the neighbours, BLUETTI batteries are proving their worth across countless scenarios.

And these batteries double as a reliable home backup when the unexpected hits, like a blackout or extreme weather. No need to rummage for candles or wait for the grid to come back online. You’ve got instant, silent power at the ready.

Batteries for every Aussie lifestyle — from camping kits to whole-house solutions

BLUETTI isn’t just making waves with portable power. They’re charging into the home energy storage space, offering scalable systems to suit everything from tiny homes to full-blown family estates.

Let’s start with the EP760. This single-phase battery system offers up to 20kWh of storage and supports up to 15kW of solar input. It includes a hybrid inverter with three MPPTs (Maximum Power Point Trackers), allowing it to capture and convert solar energy efficiently. The modular design stacks LiFePO₄ (lithium iron phosphate) B500 battery packs under the inverter, a bit like building energy Lego. And the best part? It can grow with your home’s energy needs.

Looking ahead, BLUETTI is set to launch the EP2000 in 2025, a three-phase beast of a battery with a staggering capacity of up to 154kWh. That’s enough juice to run a full household, charge an EV, and still have energy to spare. Perfect for families looking to kick gas to the curb or embrace the electric lifestyle full tilt.

The whole system is sleek, scalable, and designed with simplicity in mind. It’s not just about keeping the lights on, it’s about living smarter, greener, and more independently.

Of course, BLUETTI’s innovation doesn’t stop at Aussie borders. Their Lighting An African Family (LAAF) program highlights the real human impact of reliable electricity. Tiger shared that the initiative has already donated over 5,000 units to families across Africa, with a target of 30,000. These units power radios, TVs, lights, and phone chargers, giving families more than electricity. It gives them time, opportunity, and hope. Children can study after dark. Parents can stay informed. Communities can connect. It’s a powerful ripple effect from something as small as a single solar-charged battery.

A bright future powered by clean, quiet energy

Tiger’s vision for the future is one where every household, no matter how remote, urban, large or small, has access to its own personal power station. A small, smart battery to capture solar, charge devices, and support everyday life. No need to wait for the grid or pay peak pricing. It’s a future where energy is clean, quiet, and in your control.

And in true Aussie spirit, it’s also a future where you can take your power with you — whether that’s camping in the outback, road-tripping down the coast, or chucking a battery in the ute to power a worksite.

BLUETTI isn’t just selling boxes of lithium, they’re offering energy independence. For households, for businesses, and for entire communities.

Missed the episode? No worries! Catch up now via 9Now. You can also catch encore screenings at Sunday at 8am, Tuesday at 6:30am, and Thursday at 10:30am.
